Master Bathroom Remodeling Richmond VA
After demo, we installed a new 2”x4” interior walls for the new warming area and closet. The exterior wall in the shower was reframed for the 30”x12” insulated vinyl fixed window. Once the window was installed, new siding was installed. The new siding was painted to match the existing siding. The old entrance in the shower was framed in. The new closet wall was sheetrocked on both sides and the new warming room walls and old shower was sheetrocked on one side only.
A new Toto toilet was installed at the existing toilet location. The vanity faucets are Brizo Baliza 8” widespread with a polished chrome finish.
New electrical was roughed-in. New electrical boxes along with switches were installed at the new vanities. A recessed light was installed over the storage cabinet in the dormer window and the existing outlet in that area was relocated to the side wall above the new cabinet countertop. Three new recessed ceiling lights were installed in the main bathroom ceiling.
The existing master shower received two recessed lights with glass covers. The warming room received one standard 6” recessed light and a second recessed light housed inside the vent for the Fantech bath fan. The second vent for the Fantech fan is located in the shower ceiling. A 35”x24” infrared panel is located on the warming room ceiling. Both the vent fan and infrared panel are controlled by timer switches. The ceiling vent fan in the toilet area is separate from the Fantech unit. The toilet vent fan is an 80 cfm Panasonic unit with general light and night light.
New insulation was installed in the shower ceiling and the rear exterior shower wall.
The wall tile in the master shower and warming room is 4”x16” Zen Jasmine. Two tile over storage niches and toe shelf are installed in the shower as shown on drawing A 3.1. The shower floor tile is Classic Bardiglietto 2×2 on a mesh backing. The floor tile in the warming room as well as on the bath floor is Classic Bardiglietto 12×24” installed on a 1/3 off-set pattern. On the main bath floor a 6’x9’ tile rug design was created. The rug design is to consist of Classic Bardiglietto 12×24 tiles installed in a herring bone design bordered by Classic Bardiglietto 2×2 tiles.
The new vanities and linen cabinet are Elmwood full access cabinets with a white melamine interior. The doors and drawers are constructed with 2.25” and 3” matching rails and stiles as required. The cabinet finish color is to be white. The upper doors on the tall linen cabinet are made to accept mirrored glass panels. The vanity mirrors are recessed into ¾” panels mounted above each vanity. Decorative feet were installed on the vanity cabinets. The vanity’s, make-up and storage countertops are 3cm Carrara Grigio Quartz by Q Premium. A 24”x52”x12” MDF painted open shelf cabinet was built and installed on the vanity countertop as shown. The top of the cabinet was finished with fascia trim and crown.
The enclosure for the shower is a 3/8” frameless sliding glass unit. The enclosure for the warming room is a 3/8” glass frameless swinging door. The new seat in the warming room is a wall mounted teak unit.
The entrance door to the master bath is a 4’x6’8” paintable 10 light French door unit with frosted glass. New dummy knobs and bullet catch were installed. The new closet door is to be a 2’0”x6’8” raised six panel paint grade door to match the existing doors in the house.
New wood baseboard and shoemoulding trim was installed around the master bathroom.
The new bath interior, walls, ceiling, trim, windows and door were repainted upon completion.
